2d / 3d mapping
Levy Media Works provides custom two and three dimensional mapping services for clients requiring more sophisticated imaging.
Aerial images are captured using a pre-determined flight path, after which the data is downloaded and undergoes a process where the assembly and correction of aerial images produce a map, which has a constant scale wherein features are represented in their 'true' positions. All maps are geo-referenced and can be analyzed using most GIS or remote sensing software.
🚁 Drone Mapping 🗺 with Drone Deploy Software
DroneDeploy is the leading cloud software platform for commercial drones. The DroneDeploy app provides automated flight and data capture, and lets you explore and share high-quality interactive maps, orthomosaics and 3D models.
The maps are capable of the following:
- Measuring elevation, distance, & area
- Measuring volume
- Assessing plant health
- Generating 2D orthomosaics and 3D models
In this example, a solar company needed drone mapping of a hospital’s roof and campus to help with detailed measurements for developing solar arrays and energy storage to power the facility.
Industries where drone mapping is useful are: Construction, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Mining & Quarries, Utilities, Inspection, Roofing, Property Management, Professional Services, Education, and Oil & Gas.

Case Study #1 : Seacliff state beach
The maps directly below show the upper parking lot and grassy field at Seacliff State Beach, as well as the "S-curving" road descending to beach level, and the trench being constructed near the park entrance.
See the low resolution example map below. Full high resolution maps are delivered to clients.
2d Orthomosaic map

Plant Health
A plant health two dimensional map allows you to visualize crop problem areas, uneven irrigation, and detect broken or leaking irrigation pipes which contribute to high water bills. All maps are geo-referenced and can be analyzed using most GIS or remote sensing software.
See the low resolution example map below. Full high resolution maps are delivered to clients.

elevation Metrics
An elevation two dimensional map allows you to easily visualize the high and low points of a given terrain by the color–coded areas, dark blue being the lowest point, and dark red being the highest point. All maps are geo-referenced and can be analyzed using most GIS or remote sensing software.
See the low resolution example map below. Full high resolution maps are delivered to clients.

3d modeling
An unlimited number of perspectives, angles, and positions are possible with a three dimensional model, providing constant scale where features are represented in their 'true' positions. All maps are geo-referenced and can be analyzed using most GIS or remote sensing software.
See the video examples of 3D models below. Full high resolution 3D models are delivered to clients.

Case Study #2 : city of santa cruz public works
San Lorenzo River bed Highway 1 to soquel ave. bridge
Levy Media Works was hired by the City of Santa Cruz to map a portion of the San Lorenzo River to assess storm related effects. The area of the San Lorenzo River and adjacent levees from Highway 1 to Soquel Ave. bridge in Santa Cruz, CA, covering approximately 83 acres were mapped via drone data.
